I admit it. I am absolutely awful at geography. Studying the links below to improve that deficit.

Pamela's Ponderings
A glimpse into my post, post graduate "education" to learn more about . . . everything, as I prepare to audition for Jeopardy - again.

First step
I missed the first day of Bar Review in 2001. Not because I overslept, but because I was auditioning for Jeopardy. Except with regard to geography and sports, I've always been great at trivia and remembering facts and figures. I fared well on the Bar Exam; not so well on the Jeopardy test - missed it by one question. And here is a secret - they tell you at the audition to tell all your friends and family that you "missed it by one question," but I really did.
I successfully completed 19 years of formal education, but in the past few years my reading has slacked off somewhat. Three years ago I made a New Year's resolution (which I don't usually do) to spend each month of that year learning more about a subject. Even went so far as to assign a topic to each month. Alas, it only lasted until February. I came across my list in a notebook the other day and have contemplated it ever since. While the time I waste on Facebook may be sometimes socially enjoyable, I'd like to invest my time otherwise, in continuing my "informal" education. So I thought a blog that I publish to my friends and family would spur me on and make me feel accountable to continue my "education" on a daily (or almost daily) basis.
It looks like the next Jeopardy auditions open in about six months, so join me as I study and learn.
